So far, 2020 has not been the year we all expected. The worldwide pandemic and Covid-19 lockdown has meant that we have cancelled most of our events this year. The Craft and Plant Show’s and Beer Festival are, unfortunately, also cancelled this year. Please check here and on social media for our latest news. Thank you.

ELGOOD’S THREE-DAY CHRISTMAS EVENT
Wisbech Brewers Elgood & Sons Ltd are looking forward to welcoming beer lovers and shoppers over the course of three days of special events this year:
FRIDAY 30TH NOVEMBER – FREE TASTINGS IN THE BREWERY SHOP
From 9 am to 5 pm, the Brewery Shop on North Brink will be offering free tastings of Elgood’s Award-Winning beers, including a selection of their innovative new fruit-flavoured, Belgian-style Wheat Beers. Visitors will be able to buy beers to take home on the day and to order beers for the Festive Season.
SATURDAY 1ST & SUNDAY 2ND DECEMBER – OPEN WEEKEND AND CHARITY RAFFLE
Over the weekend, the Brewery Visitor Centre will be open for their annual Christmas Special Weekend. Doors open at 11 am on both days.
During the two days, visitors can take a tour of the brewery, explore the beautiful gardens, sample Elgood’s award-winning ales and order beer for the festive season. Parking, entry to the Visitor Centre and the Brewery Tours are all FREE!
The Brewery Shop will be offering the full range of Elgood’s bottled beers for sale as well as a selection of attractive gifts.
Light refreshments will be available from the licensed café-bar.
As in previous years, there will also be a range of stalls offering locally made gifts and crafts for that more unusual Christmas present.
Tickets will be on sale for a raffle to be drawn on the Sunday afternoon. Proceeds will be added to the on-going fund-raising on behalf of Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and a presentation will be made on the day.
For those who can’t make it to either of these events, the Brewery Shop situated in the North Brink Offices is open 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and there is an on-line shop offering home-delivery.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed a bright, sunny day in the Elgood’s Brewery Gardens on Sunday 2nd September.
The Craft & Plant Show was a great success, as of course were our award winnings ales. We are already looking forward to next year!
Music was provided by the Peter Rudeforth Jazz Band who played a wonderful selection of classic numbers with some stunning solos from the band members. In between sets from the Jazz Band, the audience was treated to music from a Ukulele Band whose line-up included our very own Dave Dyer.
Visitors enjoyed their picnics, which looked delicious; the beer, which was (of course) excellent; and the bands, who were superb
A fantastic range of prizes had been donated for a raffle in support of Norfolk Hospice Tapping House, which raised £500 in total for this worthy cause.
Dave Sheila were delighted with the turn out and they expressed their thanks to everyone at Elgood’s who helped with the organisation and to Nigel & Anne Elgood for hosting the event.
