Gardens & Visitors Centre
Mature, beautiful open space in the centre of Wisbech. We have redeveloped our visitor centre, cafe and entrance to the gardens, creating a fantastic venue available for private hire. As such the gardens will only be open to the public on scheduled open days.
Behind the North Brink Brewery, a classic 225 year old brewery situated on the banks of the River Nene, is a four acre garden incorporating specimen trees as old as the surrounding buildings, herbaceous borders, a lake, rockery, water features, exotic house and herb garden.
Beyond the walled gardens are lawns leading to a Maze, planted with Thuja and Laurel.
Our visitor centre has been completely renovated making way to The Hop Rooms, a private hire venue. The Sovereign Suite boasts a large function room complete with bar and an attached permanent marquee overlooking a stunning new terrace, lawns and our maze beyond. The Bramling Bar is a cosy second bar leading on to the main lawns and overlooks our Japanese inspired garden. In December 2022 the venue was afforded a wedding licence for the holding of civil ceremonies and we are delighted to offer this wonderful venue for private hire events large or small.
The Hop Rooms have ample free car parking and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
The Hop Rooms and our gardens are only open to the public on scheduled open days which can be found in our events calendar. Currently we will be open:
Sunday 9th July 12pm to 4pm
Thursday 17th August 2023 for the National Garden Scheme Day
