Family-owned independent brewers, Elgood & Sons, have gained yet another award for their innovative sour beer.
Coolship Fruit was awarded a gold medal at the International Brewing Awards, which were held at The National Brewery Centre in Burton upon Trent on 7th to 9th March.
This unique English-style sour beer is brewed using traditional methods and original brewing equipment. Spontaneous fermentation is initiated on the unique double coolships. The finished beer is blended with Raspberry and a hint of Blackberry to produce a smooth sour beer with notes of sweet hedgerow fruit.
Elgood & Sons are justifiably proud of the success of the Coolship range, which also includes a Blonde and a Dark version.
