Elgood’s brewery were delighted to host the annual SIBA Eastern Region Competition on Thursday 29th September at the brewery in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
More than 220 beers, from 40 breweries were judged by hundreds of independent craft brewers, beer industry representatives and experienced beer drinkers.
Elgood’s were delighted to receive three awards in the competition; Gold for Warrior Ale in the Small Pack – Strong Bitters & Pale Ales Section; Gold for QE Cherry Wheat in the Small Pack – Speciality Beers Section; Silver for Warrior in the Overall Champion – Small Pack Section.
The Overall Champion in the Small Pack category was Wolf Brewery’s Sirius Dog Star and Grain Brewery’s Redwood was named Overall Champion in the Cask Beer section.
All Gold Category winners will be entered into the SIBA National Finals, which take place at BeerX in Sheffield in March next year.
